Job Description

Guerra Plastic Surgery Center in North Scottsdale is seeking the right person for a Full-Time Patient Coordinator position. This candidate would be involved in various aspects of our office and would "wear many hats" as necessary. If you are a self starter who is seeking long-term employment, this is the position for you.

We are looking for a professional, dependable, motivated, energetic, trustworthy, detail-oriented person with great people skills. This team member must be driven, poised, articulate, and possess strong communication skills. Able to multi-task effortlessly, prioritize efficiently, handle patient requests, manage the patient database, place inbound/outbound calls to patients, handle all administrative tasks, and do so with a smile. This is an extremely fast-paced and professional environment.

Job Duties

Contribute to the Guerra Plastic Surgery Team by assisting patients in their journey towards elective cosmetic surgery.

  • Initiate contact with potential patients on the phone and in person, with a focus on patient education and assessment.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to questions through email and telephone regarding procedures and other questions; actively follow up and document conversations.
  • Book consultations, set up surgery dates, and schedule appointments.
  • Speak with patients at length about procedures, answer any questions and/or concerns.
  • Extreme attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Manage all patient inquiries and ensure accurate & complete entry into practice management software.
  • Assist patients in pre-operative care and education.
  • Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Provide courteous, efficient and effective service to telephone callers; transfer calls or take messages as necessary.
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  • Perform office opening and/or closing procedures.
  • Handle high-volume phones.
  • Assist with office management.
  • Assist with any other requested administrative duties.

Job Requirements

College level education; type 40 wpm; Proficiency in Word and Excel are required. The position requires someone who is personable, dependable and responsible, with excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
  • Must provide verifiable education and employment history
  • Must have 3+ years of experience required
  • Must be dependable, enthusiastic and have multitasking abilities
  • Must be able to work as a leader in the office
  • Must be able to display exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be a quick learner with a positive attitude and open to change
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Ability to speak, write and read English - communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
  • Experience in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to answer and transfer telephone calls efficiently
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to file accurately
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Must be able to work 9 AM to 6 PM
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
