To make the most of your meeting and ensure you’re fully prepared, here’s everything you should bring to your breast augmentation consultation at Guerra Plastic Surgery Center.
Your breast augmentation consultation will include a full review of your medical history. We can only plan a safe and effective breast augmentation in Scottsdale once we verify that you’re in good health. The more accurate and complete your records are, the less time we need to spend on preliminary assessments and the sooner we can schedule your surgery.
To speed up the process, bring the applicable documents to your breast augmentation consultation in Scottsdale, AZ:
If you don’t have access to certain records, let us know. We may be able to help request those documents on your behalf.
Health conditions such as blood clotting disorders, thyroid dysfunction, or previous breast trauma may affect your eligibility for subglandular versus submuscular placement. Certain medications may also delay healing, interfere with scar formation, or raise your risk of surgical bleeding. We need to address these concerns before discussing implant dimensions, incision sites, or combined procedures like breast augmentation with or without a breast lift.
The more we know about your health, the better we can ensure your safety and results. We need full disclosure of your medical background to assess all potential risks and avoid complications.
During your personal breast augmentation consultation at Guerra Plastic Surgery Center, you will receive detailed information about the various breast implant types, incision techniques, and how your anatomy may affect the outcome. This is your opportunity to ask questions about your surgical plan and what to expect before, during, and after the procedure. Write down your questions ahead of time so you don’t overlook any concerns.
Here are examples of what to ask your plastic surgeon:
Guerra Plastic Surgery Center offers a lot of education, information and more to all of our plastic surgery consultations. Feel free to ask any and all questions. If something is unclear or confusing, please don’t hesitate to seek clarification. You should never feel rushed or unsure about any aspect of your procedure.

I recently had a breast augmentation performed by Dr. Guerra, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very first consultation, Dr. Guerra made me feel completely comfortable and supported. He was incredibly patient while helping me make my decision, took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly, and truly listened to what I wanted…
Reference photos help us visualize and understand what you’re hoping to achieve. No need to overthink your selection; you can bring screenshots from our breast augmentation before and after photos on our website, photos from magazines, or even photos of yourself from a time when you felt more confident in your body.
If you need help deciding what photos to bring, we recommend choosing a few that show your desired proportions from the front and side views. Avoid photos taken in shapewear, sports bras, or clothing that alters the shape and size of the breasts.
During your consultation, we will ask what specific features you like in each photo. You might mention how full the upper breast looks, how far the breast projects, or how the lower half looks in relation to the torso. If you bring multiple examples, we can compare their similarities to get a better sense of your preferences.
Keep in mind that we won’t attempt to copy or recreate another person’s body. We use reference images to understand what features you like (e.g., volume, slope, nipple position, projection) and then compare those to your anatomy. Your measurements, tissue quality, and chest shape determine what we can achieve safely.
We have a dedicated photo room where we can take some before and after photos of your breasts in a professional environment. We print the photos so we can review the breast anatomy with Dr. Guerra to help plan the breast augmentation surgical plan and breast implant sizes. Check out our breast augmentation before and after photos on our website and filter by age, cup size, breast implants and more.
If possible, bring a few outfits you’d like to wear once you recover. From bikini tops to dresses with plunging necklines, trying them on during your consultation can help you picture how different breast implant sizes and shapes look on your body. Bringing those outfits also gives us an idea of how you want to look in certain clothing, helping us recommend the best profile and volume based on how fabrics fit across your chest.
This step is most beneficial if you’re unsure about sizing or worried about proportion. When we see the garments you hope to wear post-augmentation, we can fine-tune the surgical plan to match your lifestyle and preferences.
Guerra Plastic Surgery Center currently offers the Arbrea 3D breast augmentation simulator to help patients get an idea of the look you can achieve with breast implants. If you want to see a visualization after breast implants then contact us today and ask for a consultation with the Arbrea 3D breast augmentation simulator.
Before proceeding with breast augmentation, take the time to think about your desired results. Consider how you want to look and feel in different settings, from professional environments to social occasions, and in various clothing styles. Consider your long-term goals and how your preferences might change over time.
