In regards to liposuction, we limit the total amount of lipoaspirate (basically the total volume of fat suctioned out which includes the fluid/solution that is preinjected to control bleeding) to 5L in an outpatient surgery center in one session. Although it can be safely combined with other body contouring procedures as mentioned above, we also try to keep anesthesia times to under 6-7 hours max. That is why multiple procedures are often separated in stages for safety reasons and to allow maximal recovery.

Deciding on whether or not you will benefit from a full lipo360 procedure as opposed to limited liposuction will depend on the amount of excess fat you would like removed. The ideal candidate is someone with very good skin quality with not too much excess skin and is at or near their ideal body weight. Like any liposuction procedure, ways to optimize the results are the maximal use of compression garments and lymphatic massage.
