This is the story of an attractive 28 year old mom with a very large family. She came to my plastic surgery office and expressed that she would like to have a tummy tuck to go along with her mommy makeover. When I met her, I agreed that she indeed did have a great deal of excess skin in the abdomen and a "pooch" as a result of the weak muscles. Her skin had also developed numerous stretch marks which created a fine paper thin sunburst pattern surrounding her belly button. This was quite an annoyance. I did recommend a tummy tuck which involved significant skin removal, muscle work, but no liposuction. In addition, I created a round belly button which was a drastic improvement for her tummy because the extra skin was also removed. Her incision turned out to be nice and pretty and her figure looked so much better with a flat tummy as opposed to the "pooch" we started with before cosmetic surgery.
